British models dig deep to mend broken hearts

While the Champagne flowed, and comedy caberet duo Frisky and Mannish entertained the crowd, Alexa Chung, Tallulah Harlech, Pixie Geldof, Cara Delevingne and Daisy Lowe (the face of the event), were joined by London Fashion Week's cultural ambassador Laura Bailey and British Fashion Council chairman Sir Harold Tillman in a Twenties boudoir to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.
The objective of the one-off auction was to mend broken hearts, but when we asked model-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne how she's mended hers in the past, she admitted: "I've never had my heart broken, but if I did, probably lots of chocolate and ice cream."

Model Daisy Lowe, who has experiences several high-profile break-ups, was more candid: "Girlfriends are the best. Laughing with your girlies, loads of DVDs and loads of good food, and going out and having good food together."
The impressive auction also got the models digging deep. Pepe Jeans model Suki Waterhouse paid £3,000 for a Chelsea F.C hospitality package, while Cara Delevingne - probably still needing a break from her recent catwalk show whirlwind, claimed a £6,000 break to the luxury Soneva Fushi resort in the Maldives.

A Mulberry outfit worn by Alexa Chung to London Fashion Week in February fetched £1,800 (although there was massive confusion on behalf of the compare, who repeatedly referred to it as 'Burberry' to begin with). Sadly, the stunning Antonio Berardi 'Jessica Rabbit' red dress donated by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley failed to meet the very high reserve.
