International rapper, Kanye West is said to be using the jewels he bought for his late mother Donda to create a customised engagement ring for girlfriend, Kim Kardashian.
OK we’re slightly jealous.
Kanye was a typical mummy’s boy and the idea behind the proposal is giving the new number one woman in his life something meaningful and *cough* extremely expensive to rave about.

Kanye and the private jeweller
Kanye has reportedly been working closely with a private jeweller to create the ideal sentiment for his proposal, and we don’t mean the classic Haribo ring.
“Kanye picked out some of Donda’s most expensive pieces, including some diamond earrings and a ruby ring,” a close pal of Kanye told Radar online. “He then gave them to a private jeweller friend to make Kim a one-of-a-kind engagement ring.”
The pal – who is a family friend – added “Donda was such an important person in Kanye’s life, he thought the world of her and was devastated when she died. And now, Kanye has found a woman he respects and loves just as much as his mum, so he wants to share her jewellery collection with Kim.”
Does sharing with your loving fans count Kanye? We could use a new bangle…
Terrible idea
Not everyone seems to be happy about this rash decision though. “His friends think it’s a terrible idea and are advising him not to give Kim the ring. Because it’s a gift, it would be difficult for Kanye to ask for it back if they ever split up,” the source said.
Well Kim, who’s currently consumed by divorce proceedings with ex-husband Kris Humphries, is one very lucky lady.
