Jessica Simpson is already a hugely successful fashion designer (her fashion and beauty business is worth $1 billion!!), and now she’s set to expand her empire by designing her own range of wedding dresses.
The 32-year-old new mum (she gave birth to baby girl Maxwell Drew two months ago) is due to tie the knot herself for a second time to her American football player finace Eric Johnson some time later this year. So, it’s not all that surprising to hear that she’s decided to move into bridal-wear.
“A wedding line is something she's always wanted to do, a source has told In Touch. “She is talented and knows what women want to wear.”
Successful
And being a gorgeously curvy girl herself, it’s likely that Jess will design gowns for everyone – not just teeny tiny size zeroes. Something that stylist Daniel Musto tells NYDailynews.com will help with sales,
“She has curves like every girl, so women will buy those dresses up. If she does something that's going to be memorable for decades then certainly her wedding line is going to be successful because girls will want to mimic it,” Daniel adds.
Diet
And speaking of those famous Jessica Simpson curves… the new mum is no rush to shift the weight she gained during pregnancy. While she’s signed up to lose the pounds in a deal with Weight Watcher, she’s taking things slowly and making sure to enjoy being with her daughter,
“Jess enjoys Mexican food and treats, and at the moment the last things she wants to do is diet,” a source tells this week’s heat magazine. “She just wants to concentrate on being a mum.”
While Jess herself has admitted that motherhood has made her feel less concerned about her appearance,
“It’s funny to be at your heaviest and feel the most confident,” she told Elle magazine in March. “I just take such pride in being a mom! I just love my body more now than ever.”
